Ross Shafer

Ross Shafer is a (6) time Emmy Award winning comedian-writer-author-TV producer. He took the unlikely route from small town Pet Shop Manager to Network talk show host; eventually competing head-to-head with Johnny Carson and David Letterman. The Pet Shop was actually "America's Only Stereo and Pet Shop" and was a miserable failure. Forced to find another career, Ross sheepishly ventured into a Seattle comedy club and tried out a few jokes. Well, enough of them worked that he went on to win the Showtime Comedy Competition. This allowed Ross to work his way up from Opening act to the likes of Dionne Warwick and Crystal Gayle to headliner status in clubs and casinos all over North America. In fact, you may have seen on Evening at the Improv, Comic Strip Live, or The "A" List. Or, on TV as the host of The Late Show on Fox, Days End on ABC, or The Match Game, also on ABC (and now seen daily on the Game Show Network). A "hired gun" comedy consultant, Ross co-created a new Comedy talk/Game Show for the USA network. But, he is most proud of his best selling cookbook, "Cook Like A Stud" -38 recipes Men can prepare in the garage using their own tools.
